A.S. in Technical Management - Applied Information Technologies

In partnership with Microsoft, ERAU is proud to offer this exciting new opportunity within our acclaimed Associate in Science in Technical Management (ASTM) degree program.

As an ASTM student, you can elect to pursue one of several Applied Information Technologies Specializations.  These provide you the opportunity to build hands-on software systems and technology skills within the context of your Associates degree studies. Upon completion of the five technical specialization courses, you’ll  also have earned the respective Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) credentials.

If you’re already enrolled in our ASTM program, great! You can switch to the Applied Information Technologies (AIT) specialization, provided you meet its specific enrollment requirements.

Each Specialization has associated with it free study materials that can prepare you for your first ISTA course. At your option, you can choose to study for and take its Microsoft Technology Associates Certification Exam as well – and ERAU and Microsoft will provide you with your first exam voucher free!  This MTA study and certification program is optional, but highly recommended – and it could greatly enhance your success in AIT!

Employers see a college degree as a demonstration of your knowledge, motivation, and persistence — qualities that will set you above and apart from the pack.  The Associate in Science in Technical Management program will appeal to your background, interests, and talents and give you a competitive edge in your career, too.  This curriculum was developed to give you the knowledge and skills you’ll need to marshal the resources of any organization toward its goals. Over the course of this program, you’ll learn to organize, plan, staff, and coordinate physical assets as well as personnel.  When combined with the Applied Information Technologies specialization courses, this gives you unrivaled cutting-edge knowledge, skills and abilities combined with business and management savvy!

Electives/AIT Specializations

Applied Information Technologies Specialization 15
Each specialization consists of five 3-credit courses, which concentrate on one aspect of information systems and software applied technologies. These courses are usually offered in sequence across four or five academic terms, at the ERAU campuses that are offering the program. Students may elect either an entire specialization (all five courses), or may choose one or more courses across multiple specializations as electives; however, achievement of the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Expert (MCSE) credentials requires successful completion of an entire Specialization’s set of courses.
If multiple Specializations are taken, total credit hours to complete the ASTM degree will exceed 60 credit hours.
