Helicopter Operations and Safety

This minor was developed with and for the helicopter industry. Students will develop an understanding of aviation safety, maintenance, personnel management and training, and operations management programs in use by the government and civil aviation. Additionally, learning about advanced technology used in the industry is an integral part of this program. Students declaring this minor must be FAA licensed helicopter pilots (Note:  AS 372 is a prerequisite for AS 389 and AS 490).
