DSCI 201  Introduction to Data Science Applications  3 Credits (3,0)

Introduces fundamental Machine Learning data analysis concepts and procedures.
Prerequisites: MATH 112 or higher and CSCI 251

DSCI 310  Data Storytelling  3 Credits (3,0)

Introduction to tools, topics and best practices in data visualization. Ethical data handling; exploratory and explanatory data visualization techniques for data storytelling; evaluating the graphical design elements of published visualizations. Concepts are presented using real world data.
Prerequisites: STAT 211 or STAT 222 with minimum of C

DSCI 411  Applied Data Science Capstone  3 Credits (3,0)

Completion of a term-long data project will be supported through work processes that mirror the workplace environment. Peer review and instructor comments will serve to polish each phase of the work. The final report will be written and presented virtually to the class.
Prerequisites: CSCI 251 and STAT 320 and DSCI 201 with minimum of C in each
