Academic Policies and Procedures
Student Responsibilities
All Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students are responsible for knowing and abiding by the Student Code of Conduct and academic policies and procedures.
Academic policies and procedures are detailed in University publications. These resources are available online and at campus records offices, student government offices, and academic departments throughout the University. The University reserves the right to change any of the policies and procedures of the University at any time, including those relating to admission, instruction, and graduation. Necessary interpretations of these policies will be made by the appropriate authorities with the interest of the students and the institution in mind. The University also reserves the right to withdraw curricula and specific courses, alter course content, change the calendar, and to impose or increase fees. All such changes are effective as proper authorities determine and may apply not only to prospective students, but also to those who are already enrolled in the University. Students are encouraged to consult an advisor if they have questions about the application of any policy.
It is the students’ responsibility to be aware of all University rules and policies; University policies will not be waived because a student pleads ignorance of them. Separate policy and procedure sections have been established in this catalog to address differences between undergraduate and graduate programs.
University policies and procedures apply to all Embry-Riddle campuses unless otherwise noted.
