First Time and Transfer Students | Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Academic Catalog

To be considered for admission into a graduate program at Embry-Riddle, all applicants must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited degree-granting institution. For applicants with educational experience outside of the United States, refer to the International Admissions requirements.

Admission into some degree programs may require an applicant to have a higher GPA, meet other special requirements, and/or submit additional documentation. Refer to program specific pages for additional requirements. Academic, judicial, and disciplinary notations on transcripts will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may impact admission.

Graduate applicants are required to submit the following documentation:

Application for admission
Non-refundable application fee
Official transcript(s) from the accredited degree-conferring institution(s)
Official or unofficial transcripts from other institutions attended may be requested to verify prerequisite knowledge for certain academic programs
Official transcripts from all accredited degree-granting institutions showing graduate-level course work, if applicable

Statement of Objectives

A statement of objective helps to demonstrate strong capacity for written communication. The statement should include:

A description of the applicant’s long-term professional goals, defining how Embry-Riddle’s program supports those interests and goals
A description of the applicant’s interests and background
A research topic proposal, if applicable

Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation should consist of academic and professional references. Refer to program specific criteria for the number and types of references.

Resume

Submit a current resume outlining your past educational and work experiences.

Daytona Beach & Prescott Campus

In addition to previously stated requirements, all graduate applicants must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited degree-granting institution, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale from their degree-granting institution.

Admission into some degree programs may require an applicant to have a higher GPA, meet other special requirements, and/or submit additional documentation. Refer to program specific pages for additional requirements.

Worldwide & Asia Campus

In additional to previously stated requirements, all graduate applicants must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited degree-granting institution, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale from their degree-granting institution.

Graduate applicants who have completed graduate level coursework or already possess a master's degree from an accredited degree-granting institution must have a 3.0 CGPA or higher at the graduate level.
