Non-Degree Seeking and Transient Students

Embry-Riddle recognizes the needs of applicants who are interested in furthering their education for professional or self-enhancement purposes without pursuing a degree program. We also recognize that transient students and those pursuing a degree with another institution may wish to take a course or courses with Embry-Riddle.

An application for admission, and official/unofficial transcripts may be required before the student is allowed to enroll in courses.

Students in this status who meet full admission requirements will be allowed to complete up to 24 credit hours, after which they must reapply through the admissions office for matriculation into a degree program. Students who subsequently apply for entry into a degree program may be required to submit additional documentation.

Engineering coursework is generally restricted to students admitted to engineering programs; however, a waiver may be requested for non-degree applicants.
