Cross-Campus Enrollment

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University permits degree-seeking students to enroll in courses across its residential and Worldwide campuses in order to support timely degree progression and broaden access to instructional modalities.

Undergraduate students must be in good academic standing, have achieved sophomore classification, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.25 to be eligible for cross-campus enrollment; exceptional first-year students may be considered with additional approvals. Graduate students must be in good standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Enrollment in cross-campus coursework is subject to established credit limitations and institutional approval. Undergraduate students may apply up to 24 total credit hours of cross-campus coursework toward their degree requirements, while graduate students are limited to 9 total credit hours. Course availability is determined by the Office of the Registrar in consultation with academic colleges, and enrollment may be restricted based on course equivalency, capacity, and scheduling considerations. Worldwide students enrolled in residential courses may not simultaneously take Worldwide courses.

Students seeking to enroll in courses without established cross-campus equivalencies must obtain prior approval through their academic advisor or program coordinator. Approved requests require formal documentation, including submission of a course substitution form, to ensure the course is applied appropriately toward degree requirements. As with all academic planning, students are responsible for consulting with their advisor to ensure compliance with degree requirements and catalog policies.

Students participating in cross-campus enrollment are expected to demonstrate readiness for the instructional modality of the course, including completion of any required online readiness training. International students must also adhere to all applicable federal regulations governing enrollment status and modality restrictions. International residential students on F-1 or J-1 visas are limited to counting only one (1) three-credit online course per semester toward their full-time enrollment requirements.
