Mr. Joseph Gibney, Dean

The David B. O'Maley College of Business (OCOB) is not just another business school. We aim to launch the next generation of exceptional business professionals with the skill, expertise, and vision to lead tomorrow’s Business of Flight.® The Business of Flight is vast, offering students myriad unique career growth opportunities. Our alumni are not just working in finance, analytics, marketing, and management at major aviation and aerospace companies; they are leading the way. Everything has a business side – from the high-tech to the sports industry, entrepreneurship to artificial intelligence. That is why business degrees are the most popular in the country – nearly 20% of all degrees awarded are in business, and OCOB is at the forefront of this trend!

In the OCOB, our community of faculty scholars are not just educators; they are global leaders in their fields. Their reputations and reach have designed curricula at the graduate and undergraduate levels that set the standard in aviation/aerospace business education. Our faculty and students focus on cutting-edge solutions to real-world problems and opportunities in aviation, aerospace, and space-related industries and organizations. Our dedication to excellence is manifested by our accreditation by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for all our degree programs. B.S. in Aviation Business Administration is also accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI)

The OCOB offers numerous majors within two undergraduate degree programs that students can specialize in. The Bachelor of Science in Aviation Business Administration is for students who want to build a strong foundation for a management career in the aviation and aerospace industries. Students can major in Aviation & Aerospace Marketing, Air Transportation, or Supply Chain Management in Aviation & Aerospace. For students preferring a more traditional major, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration has majors in Accounting & Finance, Management, or Marketing. In addition, the OCOB offers several minors for business students, including entrepreneurship, forensic accounting, and supply chain management in aviation & aerospace. In addition to these, the College also offers additional minors for non-business students seeking to build business acumen. These include business administration, finance, marketing, and project management.

The OCOB offers several graduate degree programs for those seeking to become high-performing managers in aviation, aerospace, or related industries. Our MBA, MBA in Aviation Management, Master of Science in Aerospace Business Analytics, and Master of Science in Aviation Finance lead to exemplary career placements. While nearly every institution of higher education offers an MBA, in the OCOB, students pursue a degree already aligned with industry. Because of their specialized knowledge, they are highly recruited by top firms in the aviation, aerospace, and space industries.

The MS Aerospace Business Analytics is a unique offering that equips graduates with operational knowledge and analytical skills applicable across the aviation and aerospace industries. No other university in the country offers a business analytics degree specific to these industries, making our program a valuable and rare opportunity for students.

The MS in Aviation Finance is not just another degree; it is a unique offering with exceptional job prospects for students interested in aircraft financing, leasing, and financial modeling. It was the first and remains the only degree of its kind in the U.S., offering students a one-of-a-kind educational experience that sets them apart in the industry.

The MBA program combines general management courses with specializations in Airline Management, Airport Management, Aviation Systems Management, Finance, and Supply Chain Management. For those seeking an MBA with a specific industry focus, the MBA in Aviation Management is offered exclusively on the Daytona Beach Campus.

The Doctor of Aviation Business Administration is a one-of-a-kind degree that serves working professionals who seek to advance their knowledge and conduct high-quality research in aviation business while being employed. Industry, military, and government professionals with academic credentials, potential, and passion for aviation business research would find this doctoral program attractive and rewarding. This program's flexible, mainly off-campus hybrid delivery enables the candidate students to continue their profession while pursuing their doctoral degrees. Domestic or international students with a prior Master’s degree in a related business are eligible for acceptance into the doctoral program.
