The B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies at the Daytona Beach Campus prepares graduates to become corporate leaders in a dynamic, global landscape. With a strong foundation in general education and interdisciplinary inquiry, the program offers students the flexibility to customize their degree. By focusing on the student's strengths and interests, students select three minors or two minors and an area of focus. Through a truly interdisciplinary core that integrates the humanities, technology, and sciences, students learn to think critically, connect ideas across disciplines, communicate effectively, and adapt to rapidly changing career environments, preparing them to become innovative leaders in their chosen fields.
At the Worldwide Campus, the B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies provides students the opportunity to design a customized program that connects science, technology and humanity. Graduates can pursue careers in aviation, aerospace, international business, communication or related fields. Core courses focus on strengthening communication and analytical skills, while the interdisciplinary structure allows students to select a minor area of study that expands their knowledge and global perspective.
The program is part of the Air University-Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC Category I), which allows Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) associate degree holders to enroll.

Program Details
The Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies requires successful completion of a minimum of 120 credit hours, including at least 40 credit hours of upper-level (300-400 level) coursework. Students enrolled in the Worldwide Undergraduate Online program may complete the degree in 20 terms, or approximately four years, assuming full-time enrollment and continuous progress. Students pursuing this undergraduate degree must earn a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 for all work completed at the University. The courses required to earn this degree are listed below.
Students should be aware that many courses have prerequisites and/or corequisites. Students are responsible for ensuring that all prerequisite and degree requirements are satisfied prior to enrollment in advanced coursework. The suggested plan of study is provided as a guide. A student's actual plan of study may vary based on term of admission, course availability, transfer credit, and other academic considerations. Students should consult with their academic advisor to develop an individualized plan of study.
Students must complete two or three approved minors and a specialty area of related coursework as part of the degree requirements. Because the number of credit hours required for each minor varies, some combinations may result in total degree requirements exceeding 120 credit hours. Students should work closely with their academic advisor to select minors and a specialty area that align with their academic interests, career goals, and University graduation requirements, including the minimum upper-level credit hour requirement.
