Minor in Alternative Energy

The Alternative Energy minor provides students with a focused understanding of energy systems, emphasizing the principles of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and the design and analysis of modern power systems. The program explores conventional and emerging energy technologies, with opportunities to specialize in areas such as renewable energy, advanced energy systems, and environmental control applications. Students develop analytical and problem-solving skills related to energy efficiency, sustainability, and system performance. This minor complements a variety of majors and prepares students for careers or further study in energy, sustainability, and related engineering and technology fields.

Some majors may not be eligible to pair with this minor. See the Minor Restrictions list for details.
