Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies

The Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies Minor introduces the student to the cultures, histories, and languages of Arab countries.  A student can earn this minor by successfully completing 18 credit hours as follows:

With departmental approval, students may also earn this minor using transfer credits in Arabic language and area studies provided they fulfill all other minor requirements listed at the beginning of this section.

Note: This minor is not open to native speakers of Arabic or students in the GSIS Middle Eastern Regional Area of Concentration.
