B.S. in Space Physics (PC) to M.S. in Space Operations (DB)

This program allows the exceptional student to complete the Prescott Bachelor of Science in Space Physics (BSSP) and Daytona Beach Master of Science in Space Operations (MSSO) degrees.

Upon completing the BSSP requirements, the Bachelor of Science degree in Space Physics will be conferred, and students will be enrolled in the MSSO degree. In any graduate course taken by an undergraduate student, a grade of “B” or better must be earned. If a grade of “C” or “F” is earned in any of the graduate courses taken in lieu of the elective courses in the BSSP degree, the student will be removed from the MSSO program and may continue to complete the BSSP degree only.

If the student chooses to leave the program before the completion of the graduate program and has acquired the minimal hours required for graduation with the undergraduate, any graduate transition courses used to meet graduation requirements will be noted as undergraduate courses for the purpose of graduation.

Approved Courses for the Combined Program

Students enrolled in the combined program must consult their academic advisor and the MSSO program coordinator to determine appropriate course selection. Up to three 500-level graduate courses may be taken from the MSSO specialization and will replace an equal number of Open Elective Upper Level courses and/or Open Electives Upper or Lower Level courses in the BSSP degree.

Combined Program Requirements

Students must fulfill the required MSSO core classes and any remaining courses from the transitional period that have not been completed.
