B.S. in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems (PC) to M.S. in Uncrewed Systems (DB)

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems (BSUAAS) degree program at the Prescott College of Aviation have the opportunity to pursue the Daytona Beach Master of Science in Uncrewed Systems (MSUNC) in a combined degree program format.

During the junior year, interested students will apply to the MSUNC (DB) Program Coordinator. Applications must include a transcript and a recommendation by the Program Coordinator of the B.S. in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems (PC) or suitable faculty with personal knowledge of the student's progress and capabilities. The Program Coordinator of the B.S. in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems (PC) and the Program Coordinator of the MSUNC (DB) will confer on all applications and decide who will be admitted. As a minimum, the applicant must have at least a 3.00 CGPA and have demonstrated superior academic capability. The 3.00 CGPA is the minimum GPA that must be maintained to remain in the graduate program.

Upon completing the undergraduate requirements, the Bachelor of Science degree in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems will be conferred, and students will be enrolled in the master's degree. In any graduate course taken by an undergraduate student, a grade of “B” or better must be earned. If a grade of “C” or “F” is earned in any of the graduate courses taken in lieu of the elective courses in the undergraduate degree, the student will be removed from the graduate program and may continue to complete the undergraduate degree only.

If the student chooses to leave the program before the completion of the master's program and has acquired the minimal hours required for graduation with the BS in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems, any MSUNC transition courses used to meet graduation requirements will be noted as undergraduate courses for the purpose of graduation.

Approved Courses for the Combined Program

Students enrolled in the combined option must consult their academic advisor and the MSUNC program coordinator to determine the appropriate course selection. Up to three 500-level graduate courses may be taken, replacing an equal number of open elective courses in the BSUAAS degree.
